I am the Key worker for the 19-25 year olds within the Sarcoma team and I work alongside the site specific Clinical Nurse Specialists, who are already in place across all sites at University College London Hospitals, to meet the specific needs of this client group. As a clinical nurse specialist for young adults, my main role is to support the young adult and their family with issues that are related to their age group for example college/university, money, emotional support, disease and treatment education, relationships and fertility issues.
I have worked throughout different department within cancer services in both the UK and Ireland over the past 10 years and I'm hoping to commence my MSc in cancer nursing later this year.
