Clinical activities and interests/research

I was appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in 1988. I developed orthopaedic surgical techniques to deal with sarcomas of bone and soft tissue and I am particularly interested in fixation of endoprostheses to bone, non invasive growing prosthesis and pelvic surgery. I am currently the President of the Orthopaedic Association (2007 – 8) and am an Elected member of the Council of Royal College of Surgeons (2008).
