A top priority of the London Sarcoma Service is to place the patient at the centre of their care. All patients are assigned to a key worker which will be one of a team of ten sarcoma clinical nurse specialists across the two hospitals, including four clinical nurse specialists based at RNOH (three for adult patients, one for children and teenagers), and six clinical nurse specialists based at UCH (two for children and teenagers, two for teenagers and young adults, and two for adults). Two of these specialist nurses are nurse consultants, one at RNOH and one at UCLH. The key worker will support the patient and their family through diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up after treatment is finished.
